Step 1
Add finely ground coffee, water, and sugar (optional) into a cezve, the traditional Turkish coffee pot.
Step 2
Stir the mixture well, then heat it slowly over low flame until it begins to foam.
Step 3
Just before the coffee overflows, remove it from the heat to preserve the foam.
Step 4
Pour the coffee gently into a small cup, letting the foam settle on top. Serve immediately.
